These coins are the primary options for silver buyers each year from Perth Mint. The Australian Silver Kookaburra debuted in 1990 and features a new reverse design each year. The Australian Silver Koala debuted in 2007 and also features new designs each year. On the obverse of each 2018 Proof Australian Silver 3-Coin Collection product is the image of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the fifth-generation design to feature on Australian coinage and comes from the Royal Mint’s Ian Rank-Broadley. It was created in 1998 for British coinage as the fourth-generation design on British currency.
