The mint would go on to add three more weights between 1986 and 2014, only once removing a coin. That was the 1/15 oz gold coin struck only in 1994 to mark the 15^th anniversary.

The obverse of 2020 Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coin features the portrait of a 79-year-old Queen Elizabeth II. Designed in 2003, this image appears on all bullion and circulation coinage from the Royal Canadian Mint. It is the first during her reign to show the Queen without a crown on her head.
