The Silver Eagle is an enhanced reverse-proof coin that features multiple frosted and polished fields that isolate visual elements of the design. Reverse proofs have mirrored design elements and matte background fields.

Each 2019 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf in the set is a modified proof that has the standard matte design and mirrored background field combinations, but these Silver Maple Leafs have up to three times greater visual beauty than a standard proof coin. Each one also has a one-time border design on both sides that includes stars and maple leaves.

On the obverse of American Silver Eagle coins is the design of Walking Liberty by Adolph A. Weinman. The reverse face of Silver Eagles includes the depiction of the heraldic eagle of the United States.

The obverse of Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins features the image of Queen Elizabeth II in a design from Susanna Blunt in 2003. On the reverse of the Silver Maple Leafs is the sugar maple leaf from Walter Ott.

Each coin in the Pride of Two Nations Set is struck by its respective sovereign mint. The Silver Eagle comes from the West Point Mint with a “W” mint mark and the Silver Maple Leaf from the Ottawa Mint with no mint mark.
