The 1 Kilo Silver Libertad is the only proof coin with a proof-like finish.

Other Proof Mexican Silver Libertad Coins from the Mexican Mint are individually housed in capsules without boxes. Proof-like coins are similar in appearance to proof coins with hints of a matte finish on the design elements and a slightly mirrored background field. The 1 Kilo Proof Silver Libertad is the only one available as a proof-like specimen and has some of the lowest mintages in the overall series. The highest mintage came in 2002 when the coins appeared, with 1,820 issued. The 2018 release had 1,000 coins in total.

On the reverse of 2019 Kilo Proof Mexican Silver Libertad Coins is the Mexican coat of arms. The design includes an eagle on the arm of a cactus as it battles a serpent. Surrounding the design field are 10 historic versions of the coat of arms used since national independence was gained.
