Each of the coins has its own depiction of the American bald eagle on the reverse and a unique, historical depiction of Lady Liberty on the obverse taken from prior circulation coins in the United States.

The American Gold Eagle coin features the image of Lady Liberty created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. This design was the first in a string of images in the early 20^th century that came to circulation coinage as part of a massive overhaul of designs initiated by President Theodore Roosevelt. It appeared on the $20 Gold Double Eagle coin from 1907 to 1933.

On the obverse of 2019 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coin is this design of Liberty. Her figure is depicted in a front-facing relief as she walks forward from the nation’s capital city. She is surrounded in this design by 50 stars as she holds her torch high overhead and clutches a large olive branch in her left.

The reverse of 2019 American Gold Eagle Coins includes the image of a family of eagles. This design was created in 1986 specifically for the Gold Eagle Series and depicts a male eagle flying over the nest while a female in the nest below shelters a young hatchling.

These 2019 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coins feature a Mint State 69 certification from the NGC. Coins in this condition have full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws such as minuscule contact marks or hairlines. The included Early Release label indicates the coins arrived at the NGC for certification within the first 30 days of the US Mint’s release of 2019 dated Gold Eagles.
