The Bird of Paradise, better known in Australia as Victoria’s riflebird, is one of a species of birds native originally to New Guinea. In the case of Victoria’s riflebird, the creatures are endemic to the Atherton Tableland in the Australian state of Queensland where the creatures live in the rainforests year round.

The species is named after the reigning monarch of the United Kingdom when it was discovered by a Scottish naturalist in 1848: Queen Victoria I.
