The bar designs in the Lunar Collection from PAMP Suisse have evolved since the 2012 Year of the Dragon release. Early releases through the 2016 Year of the Monkey bar design often focused on the same animal visible from two angles, with a bar, pole, or tree often altering the view available on the obverse and reverse sides.

With the 2017 Year of the Rooster Lunar Silver Bar, PAMP Suisse went in a different direction. This bar offers a straight mirror image of the rooster depending on which side you are looking at. One side captures the rooster with its head looking back to the right as it stands at the edge of a rock cliff, while the other features that same rooster in reverse imaging.
