The star’s five points touch a circle around the center design that includes the words “American Legion.” The entire emblem is framed by oak leaves and a lily.

On the reverse face of 2019-P $1 Proof American Legion 100^th Anniversary Silver coins is the design of the American flag crossed by the American Legion flag. There is a fleur de lis above the flags with the words “100 Years of Service” featured below the fleur de lis. This side of the coin has the “P” mint mark from the Philadelphia Mint, the location of production of all 100^th Anniversary American Legion silver coins.
