The double high-relief is created with intense pressure during the coining process, resulting in both sides of the coin featuring a concave appearance. This concave appearance means the design elements are visible in 3D as a result.

A coin with a reverse proof finish brings the opposite elements visually to a typical proof coin. On these coins, you’ll find that the design elements have a deeply-mirrored, clear visual appearance and the background field of the coins have strong, frosted matte surfaces for brilliant contrast between the design and its surface.
